A closer look at Purisalv?

Purisalv could have many health benefits with one of those being weight loss. But don’t get the wrong idea about Purisalv it’s not entirely a weight loss pill, in fact, it might be better to think of this product as a general health pill – with some weight loss capabilities. Because Purisalv does have some weight loss potential we took the time to investigate further. The next few paragraphs out line what we found.

The findings…

The entire pill revolves around a single primary ingredient: the Chia Seed. The Chia Seed comes from a sage plant grown natively in Mexico. It was an important crop to the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations. Over time, the seed has found it’s way into numerous health supplements, including Purisalv.

Interestingly, Purisalv might be one of the few weight loss supplements that uses the seed as a single ingredient in their weight loss pill. It’s common to see the seed mixed in blends or along side other ingredients to maximize potential. Not so with Purisalv. They use Chia Seed as the primary agent.

How will the Chia Seed help me lose weight?

The Chia Seed will not “burn” fat off the body as some other ingredients will do. That’s not to say that it won’t help improve the body’s thermogenic rate because it very well could. But that metabolic increase will come from the natural antioxidants found in the seed and not through another source. But those antioxidants aren’t going to turn the body into a raging furnace. The increased levels will be mild and probably not that noticeable.

But where the Chia Seed can help out is as an appetite suppressant. The seed is a natural absorbent soaking up close to 12 times its weight in water. That mass will sit in the bottom of your stomach, taking a long time to be broken down – leaving you feeling full for a longer period of time.

Because it takes a while to slowly digest the seed the signals sent back to the brain are telling it that the body is full. Those signals of satiety can get a better hold on food cravings and help kill the insatiable urge to eat all the time. There is a downside, however, and that’s appetite suppressants usually only work on obese people. Really, suppressants should only be considered a short-term solution – nothing more.

Think about it: once you stop taking the pills those cravings are going to come right back. I usually only see appetite suppressants as a side kick to other fat burners or strict diets. To rely entirely upon an appetite suppressant as the primary means of weight loss is not a successful idea. They can help but they’re limited in their ability.

The good

  • Helps to control hunger pains
  • Natural
  • 6 month guarantee

The bad

  • Short-term solution
  • Science community still not decided on Chia Seed benefits
  • Pricy for just a single ingredient weight loss pill
  • Mild in effect

The way we see it

As a weight loss agent, you can do better. I won’t beat around the bush there. But as a general health pill it could have its place. I don’t like the single ingredient weight loss pill, I prefer to stretch my dollar a little bit more and get more in my weight loss agent. They could include this supplement with other potent weight loss ingredients to create a more effective pill.
