Therm Acai and weight loss
Again, with the Acai berry. Listen, the Acai berry is a fantastic source of key antioxidants and might even have some fairly good colon cleansing properties but as a fat burning agent the Acai berry comes up woefully short; please stay away from any product that tells you otherwise, and that applies to Therm Acai. The berry never has been, and never will be, a key fat burning agent.
What role can Acai play in weight loss?
The best way the Acai berry will help you to lose weight is in its diuretic properties – in other words it can help rid the body of built up and stored toxins that can add to weight gain. The berry has a unique skill set in that it can keep the digestive tracts operating at maximum capacity. This makes a small dent in potential weight gain but nothing truly significant.
The better weight loss supplements in Therm Acai aren’t so much the Acai berry but instead Green Tea and Caffeine. So why did they call the pill Therm Acai instead of Therm Green Tea or something else?
I’m guessing because the Acai berry is super popular right now and I think the marketing team wanted to capitalize on that. It is also the ingredient that received the heaviest dosage in the pill but that seems right. I mean, it would be hard to call a product Therm Acai and then have more Green Tea then Acai in it right?
So the Acai aside what else in Therm Acai can help me lose weight?
There is a significant amount of research to support Green Tea as a solid weight loss agent. The basic health benefit of Green Tea resides in a powerful antioxidant contained in the tea called, catechin polphenols.
This antioxidant can stimulate metabolism, which in turn, can increase the potential for weight loss. According to one study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researches found that over a 24-hour period Green Tea can increase a dieter’s metabolic rate by up to 4%.
Also, the formula calls for 50 mg of Caffeine Anhydrous. This stimulant is used in a wide variety of weight loss pills because it is known to improve the body’s thermogenic rate or in other words the rate at which the body burns fat.
Problem I see is the limited amount of Caffeine Anhydrous. I’d like to see that number higher then 50mgs. While 50mgs is better then nothing in this case, I think it limits the pill’s potential.
The good
- Solid Ingredients
- Cheap, in fact super cheap
- Could act as a decent diuretic
The bad
- Not enough of the good ingredients to do much
- Could potentially lead to averse side effects
- Acai berry isn’t a proven fat burning ingredient
The way we see it
I like several of the ingredients included in Therm Acai but unfortunately it’s just not enough to do much damage as a fat burner. If the company wants to stick with the Acai theme, I would be more comfortable tweaking the line-up and marketing as some type of colon cleanser – to me that’s really where the berry can shine. As for a fat burner, Therm Acai falls short of excellence.
